ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Our parish of approximately 325 families is lead by head pastor, Rev. Fr. Panagiotis Boznos.

Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church was established in 1965 to preach Christ and His Gospel in Aurora, Illinois and the neighboring suburbs enriching the lives of many Eastern Orthodox Christians through countless Divine Liturgies, Sacraments and religious programs. Our community includes Orthodox Christians mostly of Hellenic heritage, but also of other traditionally Orthodox ethnic backgrounds (including Romanian, Arabic, Serbian) as well as of purely American roots.

Our church offers many different ministries and programs for all age groups to further spiritual growth and community fellowship.

Our parish is under the guidance of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, which is part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Learn more about the Ministries Saint Athanasios offers.
